yes I am aware of that point, and I think that
I have enough detailed information on
parameter-changes to get a good deal of
optimization when I handle all the
InstallTexture-calls by myself..

But again: I am not yet trying to optimize
the driver, I currently try to eliminate the
last few problems...
I still can't find the reason why after a short
time some textures (always the same!?) are
garbled... Their memory seems to be still ok,
only the surface parameters (width, stride,
pixelformat...) or the u,v,q's seem to be
trashed somehow.... I have to find a better
way for debugging.... However, I am still
confident that the problem will soon be
solved....
